Great Things to See and Do on the Queensland Coast

Queensland coast is a joy to behold, and there are so many things you can do there. Naracoopa Bed and Breakfast Pavilion in Sandgate put together the following list to give you some great ideas for your holiday on the Queensland Coast.

Moreton Bay – You will feel like you are in paradise when you reach Moreton bay, which stretches from Bribie islands to the southern bay islands. The place is great for all your adventure sports desires, and you can get great  diving experience along with surfing, sand tobogganing, and quad biking. There is a lovely view that you can experience as you walk along the sandy beaches, and the marine life is something to admire as well. After enjoying the quaint villages, you can settle into one of the many picnic areas for a relaxing snack.

Fraser Island – This is the world’s largest sand island and is located at the north of Rainbow beach. You can catch a boat to the island and watch the whales in a peaceful and picturesque environment. A couple of the island’s attractions include Lake McKenzie, a glorious rainforest close to Central station, and the beautiful cliffs of the cathedrals that you can enjoy as well. To make it more memorable, you could stay in a tent or cabin on the beach.

Bundaberg – This city of sugar canes is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. You can enjoy the scenic beauty of the beautiful and ageless colonial buildings and then go down to the Burnett River. If you are a fan of wildlife, you can head over to Mos Repos where you can watch sea turtles nesting and hatching. If snorkeling and diving are something you enjoy, then the coral reefs are perfect for you. As well as having a good chance of seeing manta rays while you are diving, you will also get to see kangaroos at Woodgate beach.

Sandgate – Sandgate is a small coastal suburb that is the perfect getaway. If you need some time to breathe and relax this is a great place to go because  it is bohemian and calm. You can visit the memorial park and wander about to discover Sandgate’s lovely things to see and do.

Rockhampton – The best thing to do here is put your appetite to the test by ordering the most mouth-watering and delicious steak from Australia’s beef capital. Eurimbula National park would take you to the Mystery Craters to marvel at, and you should definitely visit Cania Gorge National Park and enjoy the rainforests there. Gladstone is a beautiful place where there are lakes and beaches that create a glorious experience. You have the option of snorkeling at Shelving Beach and taking a coral cruise to the brilliant Great Keppel Island. Don’t forget the Claim Bay, Monkey Point, and the botanical gardens.

Cairns – The Great Green Way takes you through 20 tropical islands and 12 national parks. There is a living museum that you must visit at Charter Islands and don’t forget to explore the Tyoto Wetlands. Then, there is Wallaman Falls, which is the largest single drop waterfall of Australia. Mission Beach is wonderful and breathtaking, and you should also visit the Chinese temple in Innisfail.

There is a lot to explore and discover on the Queensland Coast and you should lose yourself in it.
