My Bucket List: Destinations You Must Visit

“People want to feel like they will surely do everything before they die that they dream of. But deep down maybe we all know it may not happen, since you can die at any minute. (…) Because life is simply too short and before you know it, you run out of time.” /Nelly Furtado, Bucket List/

At one point we all lose people who have meant everything for us and who we have loved with all our heart. And then comes the moment in our life when we all start thinking what the meaning of our life really is. Have we lived our life to the fullest? Will we be disappointed with ourselves when your time comes?

So, have you thought what would you do if you knew you were running out of time? Where would you go if you have a month or two? Who would be with? I know that none of these questions is easy, but it is completely up to you.

It was not an easy decision to make this list of places I want to visit. And still, it’s great to finally be aware of your priorities. Of course, don’t forget that it is the person who are with at these places. Here is a small part of my bucket list. Enjoy!

The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is a system of defensive fortifications built of stone, tamped earth, wood, brick and other different materials. It crosses the country from the frontier with Korea and is often liken to an enormous dragon. People say that the Great Wall of China is the only thing, created by human hand, which can be seen from the moon with a naked eye. This belief exists for many years now and sounds more like an old urban legend but it is actually written in some books.

Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is the contemporary name of one of the greatest architectural complex in the southern part of Peru. It is one of the most interesting places worldwide and is visited by hundreds of thousands tourists every year. The place is also included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO, which makes it a landmark of international importance, which is also called “the lost city of the inks”. The complex is famous for its specific terraced structures and consists of different buildings that are generally temples, residences, warehouses, etc.

Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th century castle that was built on the order of Ludwig II of Bavaria, who was also known as “the mad king”. This is the most famous castle in Bavaria and it was also used as an emblem of Walt Disney Studio. Inspired by the legends of the Knight Lohengrin and the stories told by the operas of Wagner, Neuschwanstein is a unique place with an atmosphere that is indescribable. The place’s beauty is also known for being an inspiration for Tchaikovsky’s ballet “Swan Lake”

Tuscany

Tuscany is one of the most-visited regions in the central part of Italy, because it is well-known for its memorable landscapes, fantastic traditions, interesting historical background, priceless artistic legacy and its permanent influence on high culture.
