How can you get around the city?

There are few different ways to get around Amsterdam. Most people that visit here will rent a bike. In a way, this city is similar to London. It can get extremely busy and therefore riding a bike is convenient.

That being said, bikes allow you to access parts of the city that you simply would not be able to see if you were driving. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a gym instructor to ride round this city, it’s fairly flat.

Also consider going on a mini cruise. A mini cruise will offer you a chance to have a unique day out and see the city from a completely differ perspective.

Is the Red Light District safe?

It can be safe and it can be dangerous. People there do not like having their pictures taken so try and keep your camera tucked away. Avoid buying drugs. Although some of the drugs here are legal, that doesn’t mean that they are safe.

What attractions are worth seeing in Amsterdam?

To really get in the mindset of people here and to have a top class experience, you will need to visit some of the popular attractions one of the great places here is the Dutch National Museum. Also known as Rijksmuseum, it has some of the most famous pieces of art in the world. Work from the likes of Rembrandt, Vermeer and Hals can be seen here.

If you are a fan of the arts, the Van Gogh Museum should certainly be on your to do list. This is one of the most comprehensive collections of Van Gogh’s work in the world. Here, you will be able to see over 500 different sketches and a little over 200 different paintings.
