Top 5 Hotels with State of the Art Outdoor Facilities in the United States

When it comes to hotels we are all different in terms of what we like. For some it’s fine dining; for others it’s the proximity to local amenities, and for yet others it is the hotels facilities. Of course, there is no reason why you should not judge your hotel on all three of these things among other factors.

When you look at a hotel’s facilities you can put them broadly into two categories: indoor facilities and outdoor facilities. Both are important but for some people, outdoor facilities will give the edge. Let’s have a look at some hotels in the USA that have first class outdoor facilities.

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa
This hotel is located in San Antonio in Texas. Kids will love it and so will you. The reason that you will love it is because of its River Bluff Water Experience. Quite simply it is just great fun. Not only is it great fun, it is located in the most beautiful natural surroundings of Texas Hill Country. The 1200 feet of river is lined with Cyprus trees. Kids will have great fun with sprays that they can shoot at each other using the river’s water. There are also water slides and a pool for younger children.

Disneyland Hotel
As you might guess, this hotel is a special attraction for kids. Located in Anaheim, California, the Disneyland hotel is sure to delight your kids, as well as you. Its pool has recently been renovated and there is now a monorail themed pool. At the entrance to the slides – there are two – you first go through a replica of a monorail car and then zip your way down the twisting slides. There is a special slide with water jets for small children.

The Eden Resort Hotel
At the Eden resort Hotel, located in Lancaster Pennsylvania, the idea that recreation is part of your holiday is taken seriously. That’s not to say that you can’t just sit back and watch the world go by if you wish. If you enjoy being in the water you have a choice of indoor and outdoor heated pools. The indoor pool also has a whirlpool. The outdoor pool is more than just a pool, however. There is also a pool specifically for children to play in. The Eden Resort Hotel also has an outdoor recreation centre which contains a shuffle board court, a bocce court, a basketball court, ping pong and billiard tables and a putting green, among other things.

Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa
The hotel is located on Huntington Beach Southern California’s Pacific Ocean. Slyder’s Water Playground is so much fun that it will pull you and your kids off the beach. There are three water slides, but if you want something a little less ‘high energy’, there is a hot tub large enough to fit 25 people.

The Broadmoor
You will find the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, and if you want your outdoor facilities with a touch of class and comfort, this is the place for you. The hotel’s location is near to the mountains and Cheyenne Lake. The staff will take your towels and show you to the empty chairs as well. Small children are safe to paddle in the shallow end. The only problem with this outdoor area is dragging yourself away when it’s time to leave.

America has a diverse range of hotels that cater to all tastes and preferences. Outdoor facilities are not for everyone. However, if that is what you are looking for, the hotels above have some of the best in the country.
